Reviews and Advice

My wife and I run a PbP game based on the OWoD ruleset. We would be greatly appreciative of any advice (or compliments Regular Smiley ) some of you more seasoned web gurus can give. Please keep in mind that the mood of the game is supposed to be dark and a bit forboding.

Thank you very much!

I used to be a wod player and have seen a few of the (city) by night websites around, although I've never played on one. I'm just going to comment on design and first impressions here.

The choice of design is very 1990's. Call it web2.0 or whatever you like, but there are several reasons why there has been a trend toward much simpler and more direct site design.
Using pictures to replace text is a no-no. A web crawler will not gather any content from your website, screen readers will not read anything, users cannot change the size of the text or select any of the text. It's also difficult to read red on top of a black marble texture, especially where the red itself has a marble texture.
These days less is more. Drop anything that isn't essential to the content, and then slowly build up from there if you think you need to add graphics. This is especially true for a classy gothic setting like vtm. It looks more B movie horror than vtm to me.
Consider darkening or entirely removing the marble background as well, and only using it in areas like around banners, headers, and footers. Not behind text. If you must, enclose the frame in a table with a black background.
